Suisun in Good Hands with Hudson

October 25, 2010

Letter to the Editor

I recently returned from the League of California Cities' annual conference at which I was the voting delegate for the city of Fairfield. It was my first trip to the conference and I was fortunate to benefit from the leadership of my colleague in Suisun City, Mike Hudson, who was also the voting delegate for his city. This means that we represented our cities while voting on issues that affect all of us.

I was impressed with Hudson who single-mindedly worked for the citizens of Suisun City. The conference is serious business and Hudson treated it as such. Even during down time when he wasn't attending seminars on how to make his city better, Hudson  worked for Suisun City by talking with other elected officials, vendors, and attending meetings with colleagues from throughout the state.

Hudson is Right for Suisun City

October 22, 2010

Letter to the Editor

Less than two weeks from today, the voting will be all over. So, before that happens, I want to let you know about someone I am very impressed with, but cannot vote for, because I don't live in his district. His name is Mike Hudson, and he is running for re-election to the Suisun City Council.

I can honestly say, having met with Mike Hudson several times over the past months, his nickname could easily be, 'The Energizer Bunny.' This man has been working to keep Suisun City a city to be envied as one with a balanced budget, no layoffs in their important safety jobs that keep us all safe in our homes and on the streets, and so much more. Mike is dedicated to his work and, you can be sure, he deserves your vote. This is one politician I can guarantee will give you your money's worth, and then some.

Candidates Want to Protect Suisun's Services

October 9, 2010

SUISUN CITY - Whoever gets on the Suisun City Council will have to find ways to improve that city's economy and to keep up essential city services until the economy starts generating more tax dollars.

Suisun City is well positioned to entice businesses here with a good infrastructure of roads, water and sewer, an available labor pool and a government that will work with the businesses.

'We have demonstrated that for the past four years,' Hudson wrote.

Politicians Stood Up for the People

August 11, 2010

A strange thing happened on Thursday at the Solano Transportation Authority meeting. Two politicians spoke for the people against local government.

Although many Solano voters may be unaware of this, the Transportation Authority met to put a measure on the ballot this November that would increase every vehicle registration fee by $10. Don Pippo, a rancher from Vacaville who is running for Solano County supervisor in District 4, and Mike Hudson, running for re-election to the Suisun City Council, both spoke out against this fee increase.
