About Mike Hudson

Originally from Southern California, eventually moved to Diamond Bar, where I attended High School and College.

I joined the US Navy in December of 1981.   I joined to work on computers, specifically the Strategic Systems Weapons Systems Electronics program, and volunteered for the The Submarine Service.

My first sea going command was the John C Calhoun SSBN 630, where I qualified Submarines in just over 1/2 a patrol, I earned my Dolphins!  I also served at the following commands:

  • USS Ulysses S. Grant, SSBN 631 in the Portsmouth Naval Shipyards in Kittery Maine.
  • Naval Ordinance Test Unit, (NOTU), in Cape Canaveral Florida where I installed Telemetry, Tracking, and Destruct in C4 and D5 missiles.
  • USS John Marshall SSN 611 in Norfolk Virginia, which carried a Team of Seals and the SDV (Seal Delivery Vehicle), I became a Chief of the Watch
  • USS Georgia SSBN 729 in Bangor WA.  Of course that was by way of the Panama Canal and then San Diego, I finished my Diving Officer's qualification card.
  • Submarine Squadron security forces in Bangor WA
  • Honorably Discharged in July of 1992

My second career as Network Engineer / Computer Consultant. Work included Tennessee Valley Authority, Southern Bell, EDS, and Pennsylvania Power and Light.  Moved to the West Coast and Worked for Pacific Bell Information Services & SBC before returning to consulting for Primitive Logic.

The Technology Bust provided the opportunity to found Hudson Business Networks a successful IT services company in Suisun City.  Founded shortly after 9-11, I have been in business for almost 9 years.

My political career began innocently enough, with no significant commute I began to become involved with the local community.  Soon I was spending considerable time working to achieve results for Suisun City and the larger community.  Several people suggested I run for Suisun City Council. I ran in 2006 for the first time and I was elected.

Since then I have continued to be involved with many diverse community groups, still working to achieve bigger and better things for Suisun City.  My scope has changed to include work for the Fairfield Suisun Community, Solano County, State of California, and even some national causes.
