Mike Hudson reelected To Suisun City Council

Election results are in, Pete won an overwhelming victory to be reelected Suisun City Mayor. Jane Day and I won decisive victories to retain our City Council seats.  Congratulations to everyone that ran!

I attribute my victory to the volunteers that walked endless miles, talked, texted, hung signs, worked events, and contributed to the campaign.  This was a victory for our team.  I want to thank everyone who volunteered or contributed to my reelection campaign, I could not have done it without you.  Thank you to the residents of Suisun City that endured our fliers, walkers, signs, and calls.  It was a good race that, for the most part, was positive.

I was truly blessed to meet so many residents and hear what their concerns were.  I hope that we, as a City Council will continue to fight to make this City the absolute best that it can be.

Suisun City Council needs to work on several issues:

1. Streets, we have several that need attention

2. After-school programs

We have a lot of work to accomplish.  The state and county government budgets will be cut.  Suisun City will need to evaluate the services we need to keep and figure out how to pay for them.  Hopefully, we can all work together to keep Suisun City moving in the right direction.

I also want to thank my opponents, City Council races are difficult. Everyone performed admirably and kept to a positive message.

A resident of Suisun City for over 16 years, City Council member for over 3 years, and successful business owner, I have a unique perspective on the City's development, direction, challenges, and future.  My vision for Suisun City is one of a prosperous, thriving community with safe neighborhoods and schools, a bustling downtown with a vibrant Waterfront surrounded by dining and entertainment opportunities.

Suisun City is turning a corner, we have new businesses and new opportunities while staying connected to our heritage and the charm that makes us proud of our hometown.

Mike Hudson's focus is on:

1. Balanced Budget - Keeping Suisun City in the BLACK.

2. Public Safety - Keeping Suisun City a safe place to raise a family

3. Fixing our Streets - Focus on the basics, good streets

4. Young People - After school programs and healthy activities for our youth.

5. Building a better business community - The right balance of residential and commercial development

6. Quality of Life - From code enforcement to green projects

I am involved with these and other issues that I find personally rewarding and provide me with in-depth knowledge of the needs in our community.
